Photo Diary: 2 weeks in Thailand - Sea Harmony Eco House & Café in Hua Hin

After our visit to the Wat Khao Krailas, we went to a really nice and quiet Café and Guesthouse, called "Sea Harmony Eco House & Café" for a refreshment. When you enter their building, you will be greeted by the cutest Frenchie dogs. This place offers some really delicious breakfast, dinner, and dessert.

When you enter their building, you have to take of your shoes. They provide house slippers for you :)

The menu has a lot of delicious and healthy options to choose from. When you are a vegetarian or have some food allergies, they've got something for you too. Since the food was so good, we went there twice.

Here is what my family and I have ordered:

English Breakfast with poached eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans, ham served with a selection of grilled vegetables & bread

Some Hot Coffee with a Blue Butterfly Pea drink on the side

Mango Sticky Rice

Grilled Satay Chicken with Homemade Peanut Sauce

As far as I remember, I believe it was a sticky Date Pudding with Butterscotch Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream. Yum.

I love how everything is green and nicely decorated.

When you are in Hua Hin, I highly recommend stopping by at this place. You really can relax and regain some energy after a long day through the busy streets of Hua Hin. I'll definitely be back when I'm around.

Photo Diary: 2 weeks in Thailand - Wat Khao Krailas in Hua Hin (Part 2)

This post is about the 5 day trip to Hua Hin. My father bought some tickets for a bus ride from Bangkok to there. Bangkok offers plenty of bus companies that can bring you to this city for a very reasonable price. We chose the Sombat Tour company. The ride was approximately 3 hours long and it was actually very comfortable. On the way there, I didn't sleep at all, because I wanted to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

When we arrived, we first have checked in into a hotel and then visited our great aunt. On the next day, we went to the temple Wat Khao Krailas to visit my deceased relatives. This is already my second post about this temple. You can see more pictures and information about it in my old post.

Climbing up all these stairs to reach a temple is always worth it.

We bought some flower garlands for our great grandfather and our other great aunt at the night market. This time we chose orange ones :)

You can get many different views on the hill, but the best one is the sea side.

I can't get enough of these beautiful Plumeria blossoms. This whole place is covered with them.

My father told me that this is the old entrance off the temple in the picture above. He also told me that monks still walk up the hill to enter it. I wanted to see the entrance closer so we walked to it. I found out, it wasn't too safe. Therefore, I recommend using the stairs in the front as an entrance. On the way there though, you can get an amazing view to the mountains. You should check it out when you visit this temple one day.

This is definitely my favorite temple in Hua Hin even if it needs a lot of improvement. It is the best place where you can relax and find peace at any time.

Photo Diary: 2 weeks in Thailand - Plieu Café

When you follow me on Instagram, you already have seen a few pictures of my trip to Thailand in January. On my blog though, I would like to share with you all my pictures that I have taken with my camera, and all the experiences and adventures I had there.

My family and I flew to Thailand to see our relatives and friends. Some of them are getting older, hence we would like visit them more often. We first stayed in Nonthaburi near Bangkok. A couple of days later, we headed to Hua Hin, stayed there for around 5 days and went back to Nonthaburi again.

So let's begin with our stay in Nonthaburi:
My dad's friend invited us to a small, but lovely coffee shop called Plieu Café. It's a little hidden, but you can find it easily when you google it. I have listed the address at the end of this post. This Café is nicely decorated inside & outside.  If you like to hang out with your friends or want to chill a little bit after work, this is the place go. They have a really relaxing atmosphere.

We ordered three different desserts and shared them all together. This macadamia caramel cheesecake with vanilla ice cream on the side was my most favorite one. It was so creamy and delicious.

The other one was a waffle with chocolate ice cream and crunchy chocolate cereal petals topped with some chocolate sauce. This is definelty a great dessert for chocolate lovers.

The last one is a honey toast with vanilla ice cream and fruit slices. I've never ever tried a toast this soft. I loved the texture.

Besides coffee and desserts, they also offer a small variety of Thai snacks.

Thailand has, by far, the most beautiful cafés. They take their time to make their food look beautiful and Instagram-worthy. On top of it, everything tastes so delicious and it is very reasonable.

If you love sweets like me, this place is worth a visit! I definitely will be back and try more of their desserts.

Photo Diary: Wat Phra Sri Sanphet in Ayutthaya, Thailand

My family and I were back in Bangkok. My last destination was Ayutthaya and its Historical Park which is one of Thailand's main attraction for tourists.

We took the train to get there. On the way I enjoyed watching the beautiful scenery of Thailand. It was a nice experience. We arrived around afternoon time. I highly recommend to bring anything that protects you from the sun and cools you down. It can be blistering hot and humid. So bring a hat or an umbrella, sunglasses, sunscreen, and plenty of water.

The Historical Park of Ayutthaya had many temple ruins. We chose to visit Wat Phra Sri Sanphet. It was built by King Boromma Trailokkanat for royal ceremonies and rituals in 1448.


Three impressive chedis right near the entrance were built for the ashes of the royal family members.

Later in 1767 the whole temple was burned down and destroyed by Myanmar invaders.

They also destroyed lots of religious Buddha statues, broke off their precious heads and arms, and melted off all the gilded gold.


This is a model of what the royal temple originally looked like.

When I walked through all the ruins I realized how much they have destroyed.  I wonder what the other ruins look like. Each one of the temple is full of history.


This was my last my post about my trip to Thailand.  I will plan on coming back to explore more about this wonderful country. There is just so much to see and it feels so good to visit my relatives and spent time with them. See you soon :)
